Moving ahead with Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris we arrive at Christian Dior show with black and white outfits and casual hairstyles for 2017. The presence of Dior collection at high fashion shows was in great trouble by the way. Since at the end of last year the designer of the fashion house Raf Simons abruptly quit his position, the couture brand appeared to be in a huge jeopardy, being left under the rule of two young Swiss designers. Holding breath we all somehow expected the guys to fail, not to fight and lead the same line of just carrying on, but this ultimate 2016-2017 couture collection proved everybody that everything is possible. At first sight however the looks are not that haute couture, that are originally meant for wealthy clientele, refined and delicate and luxury. These outfits and the sandals mostly remind a wardrobe of a young woman heading to seaside vacation. Yet black and white colors, jewels, heavy eye liners, and center parted hairstyles give clue to something more.
Simple half updo hairstyles and white outfit at Dior
Collection being totally in the most classy spirits, featuring only black and white color fusions, really resembled Dior costumes from 1947, with embroidery and jewel accessories. Dior runway hairstyles are all half updos without any exclusion. What does it mean? Firs of all natural looks. Hair is left with natural texture and colors, just the very trendy center parting and front strands fixed at the nape.
Black gowns and center parted hairstyles 2017
Shift you attention on feet now. Sandals! Well, for haute couture this may be kind of unusual, more meant for Dior atelier looks. But I should say, that sandals seem to fit perfectly the casual mid part hairstyles at the show. The classy black suits and dresses in between head and foot live a separate life, while these extremes are very harmonious.
If not strictly black or white, then noir et blanc combined. This is the philosophy of the current collection. Though being based on vintage silhouettes the young spirits of the designers created quite modern looks, without corselettes and uncomfortable suits, meant for an independent confident woman of our times.
Christian Dior hairstyles with bangs
And a bit of bangs hairstyles. This time many designer show include some models with fringes. Perhaps hair trends 2017 will include bangs as well. Dior even with fringes stays true to half updo hairstyles in this Paris collection.
